Clinic Skincare Options
This information is only relevant where we are recommending a change to your current skincare items.
Topical skincare plays an important role in skin healing, but it doesn’t play the same role for everyone.
In some skin presentations, topicals do a lot of the heavy lifting. In others, internal work leads the way and skincare provides essential support and protection while that deeper healing occurs. The skincare we recommend is always based first and foremost on what your skin needs physiologically — not what is most expensive, most popular, or most convenient. Our recommendations are nuanced to your current presentation, your recent and current barrier health, your reactivity and sensitivity, allergies or suspected allergens, and what is going to give you the best result. We are always price conscious with our recommendations, and where we recommend higher priced items, this is due to the more significant changes that product can create for you, instead of, for example, three other products in its place.
We also understand that not every patient has the same budget, skin tolerance, or stage of healing. For this reason, we work with multiple skincare ranges within the clinic. Each range represents a different level of topical intervention, allowing us to personalise your care without compromising your results.
Below is an overview of the skincare ranges we use, including how they differ, who they’re best suited to, and typical pricing guidance.
We will further discuss your Dermaviduals and Tirsel prescription in consultation, as these are prescription-only topicals.
Something Else Skincare is available through our website and with select stockists. This range was created to fill the exact gap here… the space between shi**y stuff at the chemist and the expensive stuff you can only get through a clinician. See our website for more information on the range.
DERMAVIDUALS
Prescription-level, fully customised barrier repair
Dermaviduals is our most advanced topical range and is fully customised for each individual patient. Every formula is created specifically for your skin based on its barrier integrity, inflammatory state, sensitivities, and clinical goals.
This range is designed for situations where the skin barrier is compromised and topical support is expected to do significant healing work.
-
Compromised, reactive, or impaired skin barriers
Eczema, dermatitis, rosacea, inflammatory acne
Skin that has plateaued or worsened on standard skincare
Situations where targeted, therapeutic actives are required
This range is used across all skin conditions but is most strongly recommended when topical therapy is expected to play a primary role in healing.
-
Dermaviduals works off the basis of corneotherapy, which is the topical science of correcting the skin barrier function with targeted biomimetic ingredients.
Dermaviduals uses premium cosmeceutical ingredients delivered in liposomal and nanoparticle forms to enhance penetration and biological activity. The patented delivery system allows for deep, functional barrier repair rather than surface-level moisturisation.
Formulas are free from preservatives, emulsifiers, paraffins, parabens, and petrolatums. This significantly reduces irritation risk but also increases manufacturing complexity and cost.
Because products are customised, steps can often be simplified — for example, active serums can be blended directly into your moisturiser, reducing the need for multiple products.
-
Dermaviduals items are designed to last for 3 months at a time.
Cleansers are 150mL and average $100
Moisturisers are 50mL in size, but are customised with additional active ingredients to essentially combine the funciton of a serum and a moisturiser together. Base moisturisers are $110, customised moisturisers average between $120-180 depending on ingredients.
Serums are 20mL in size and average $120. 10mL serums are available.
On average, it is around $250 for a custom cleanser and moisturiser/serum combo that lasts for 3 months.
There are also select items like creams and sprays that can be used for specific presentations which are not listed here, as they are only recommended on a case-by-case basis.
All information about ingredients, benefits and how Dermaviduals works will be discussed with you by your prescribing Naturopath.

This range blends the worlds of conventional dermatology and botanical medicine. We pay attention to sensitivity and allergies with this range, and prefer to use this range when working with reactive and eczematic skin.
Products contain synthetic preservatives and petrolatums. While often misunderstood, these ingredients are hypoallergenic, occlusive, and extremely effective at reducing transepidermal water loss and calming inflamed skin.
For many patients with severe eczema or inflammatory conditions, these ingredients can be incredibly helpful in stabilising the skin while internal and lifestyle interventions are underway.
-
This is our most affordable range.
This range allows for extensive flexibility in sizing, with custom products dispensed from as little as 10 mL up to 500 mL, depending on the area being treated and duration of use.
Average pricing for these items is around $1.10 per mL, meaning a 50g moisturiser is around $50.
Additional products include customised shampoo, conditioner, and cleansing gels for eczema and psoriasis.
